About Me
Personal Background
Originally from the California Bay Area, I came to Seattle for graduate school and have stayed for connections with family, friends and the beauty that surrounds this area.

I am passionate about my interpersonal relationships, creating art and music, and drawing upon wonder and awe in everything from the little moments to expansive experiences.
I also value being able to explore myself and the world through movement and try to facilitate more joy, inclusivity, intuition and ease within athletic spaces. Some of those activities I enjoy include rock climbing, hiking, skiing, yoga, swimming, cycling, and running.
Professional History
I originally became interested in nutrition to explore my own relationship with food and body. In that process, I also became fascinated with the interaction between mind and body, and how to integrate wellness practices in a sustainable, intuitive and mentally healthy way. These interests inspired me to dive into the world of eating disorders, trauma-informed care, body justice and integrative nutrition.

As a dietitian working primarily with eating disorders and mental-health informed nutrition, I came to realize that often, it isn't just about the food. So, I decided to go back to school in order to support my clients more deeply with both their mental and physical health. In addition to eating disorders, my counseling interests have expanded to include trauma, depression, anxiety and grief and loss.

In my education and work with a variety of mental health concerns, I've noticed how the threads of grief, shame, and somatic awareness (or lack thereof) seem to weave into the fabric of so many of our challenges as humans. In our work together, I may introduce these concepts as they apply with the hope to deepen your connection to, understanding of, and compassion for your Self.

My counseling style is honest, collaborative and curious, emphasizing the safety and connection of our therapeutic relationship. I have experience working with folks of many backgrounds, including those in the LGBT+ and BIPOC communities.
